How Fixture Difficulty Rating Works
Roshn FDR converts each Saudi Pro League fixture into a simple 1–5 difficulty rating from the selected club’s point of view. The model also separates attacking and defensive difficulty so the same fixture can be evaluated in more than one way.
The 1–5 difficulty scale
Lower numbers indicate easier fixtures and higher numbers indicate harder fixtures. Ratings are relative to the league and are recalculated as new information becomes available.

Attacking difficulty
Estimates how difficult it may be for the selected club to score against the opponent.

Estimates how difficult it may be for the selected club to avoid conceding.
What the model considers
The rating is data-driven and combines several signals rather than relying on the opponent name alone.

Attacking and defensive strength of the selected club.

Historical context
Recent-season performance can provide a limited prior when current-season data is still sparse.
Home and away effect
Venue-specific performance is used when enough data is available.

Recent attacking and defensive performance can influence the projection.
Fixture context
Available match context such as previous meetings, first-leg information and rest can contribute when relevant.
When ratings update
Fixtures are synchronized from publicly available Saudi Pro League data. Ratings are recalculated when schedule information, results or other relevant match data changes.
How to use the table
Use Overall for a quick fixture view, Attack when comparing scoring potential, and Defense when comparing clean-sheet or goals-conceded difficulty. FDR is a decision-support signal, not a prediction of the final score.

What does FDR mean?

Why can Attack and Defense have different ratings?
A matchup can be favorable for scoring while still being difficult defensively, or the opposite. The two ratings measure different sides of the same fixture.
